Thanks to the support of Barts Charity, Whipps Cross Hospital introduced its first surgical robot, marking a significant step forward in advancing patient care.

We are excited to inform you that the refurbishment of the GP X-ray department at Whipps Cross Hospital is in the process of nearing completion.

According to patients, the Cytosponge biopsy is a “quicker”, “less invasive” and “gentle” alternative to traditional biopsies that help identify important oesophageal conditions such as Barrett’s oesophagus.

From the 1 April, our community phlebotomy (blood tests) service will move from Forest Medical Centre (FMC) to Loughton Health Centre  (LHC).
